Estim8 Pro is live. Snap the plans, or just describe the job.

Four weeks ago I put Estim8 Pro into beta and asked contractors to break it. A lot of you did. Today it's out of beta and live on the App Store and Google Play, and it's a better app because of the emails you sent.

Here's what shipped, what changed, and what it costs.

What Estim8 Pro is

An estimating app for contractors that lives on your phone.

Snap a photo of each sheet or upload the PDF, and Estim8 reads the whole set: sheet index, dimensions, window and door and framing schedules. It counts the quantities across every page and turns them into a priced estimate with materials, labor, and a cost breakdown by phase. Overhead and profit and contingency are on by default. Adjust any line, export a PDF, send it to the customer.

That's the half that was in the beta. Now the other half.

Meet Supe

Supe is the feature I wouldn't talk about in August.

It's an AI superintendent inside the app. You describe the job the way you'd describe it to your foreman, out loud into the mic or typed, and Supe builds the estimate with you. Sizes, scope, finish level, what the customer wants. It comes back with a material list, a labor estimate, and a cost breakdown, walks you through the phases, and shows the reasoning so you can check it.

No plans required. Most residential jobs don't start with a drawing. They start in a driveway with a customer who wants a number today, and until now the honest answer was "I'll get back to you tonight." Supe is built for that exact moment.

Supe started life inside Project Proctor, our jobsite management app. We rebuilt it for Estim8 and gave it the thing it needed for estimating: assembly engines for every trade. When you tell it "a 10 by 12 bathroom, mid-grade finish," it knows the drywall comes with mud and tape and corner bead, the plumbing comes with rough-in and fixtures and trim, and the tile comes with backer board and thinset. The forty-dollar line items are on the list before you look.

It prices to your area, not a national average. And it applies 20% overhead and profit and 10% contingency by default, because I've watched too many contractors forget both.

What changed since the beta

Most of what you told me was about missing line items, and most of that was the same root cause: Estim8 knew materials, not assemblies. So we rebuilt the assembly library across every trade. Foundation, framing, envelope, interior partitions, floors, roof, openings, MEP allowances, finishes, site work. That single change fixed more beta feedback than everything else combined.

The camera got stricter. It now tells you when a sheet won't read cleanly before you take the shot, not after.

Regional pricing is sharper. Every takeoff that ran through the beta made the next one in that market closer.

And the takeoff is faster. Most sets come back in under a couple of minutes.
